Frequently asked questions.
About Famli
Famli is a digital platform designed to make everyday household and family life easier, more organised and less overwhelming.
Whether your household includes children, teenagers, partners, grandparents, ageing parents, pets, carers, friends, or simply you, Famli is designed to help you manage the things that matter to you.
Calendars, reminders, appointments, documents, important dates, tasks and everyday household coordination can all be brought together in one place.
Everything family. One place.
Famli has been built around three simple principles:
Privacy First
Your personal information is not our commercial product. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Simplicity
Famli is designed to make everyday organisation easier, without unnecessary complexity.
Real Life
Famli is designed around the reality of modern households — whatever yours happens to look like.
Our goal is simple:
Help you spend less time managing your life and more time living it.
And we want to keep improving Famli with the help of the people who use it.
Absolutely.
There is no single definition of family — and Famli is not designed around one.
You might have young children, teenagers, adult children, ageing parents, grandparents, a partner, several generations living together, pets, carers or a combination of all of these.
You might also live alone and simply want an easier way to organise your own life.
Famli is for households and people, whatever your family looks like.
No.
Famli is an organisational and household support platform.
It is not an emergency service and should not be relied upon as a substitute for emergency services, professional medical, legal, financial or other specialist advice.
Important information should always be independently verified where appropriate.
We intend to expand into other languages.
Famli has initially been developed for English-speaking markets, with Australia and the UK among our initial markets.
As Famli grows internationally and demand develops, we intend to introduce additional languages and appropriate localised features.
Our longer-term ambition is for Famli to be available to households around the world.
Getting started & using Famli
Famli can be added to your phone’s home screen as an app shortcut, so it opens like a regular app, with no browser bar in the way.
Follow our step-by-step guide for iPhone and Android: Save Famli to your home screen.
Yes.
Famli is designed to work across compatible devices so you can access the service when you are at home, at work or on the move.
The exact devices and features supported may change as Famli develops.
Not at all.
Famli has been designed to be straightforward and intuitive.
We want you to spend your time using Famli — not trying to work out how to use Famli.
We will continue to provide guides and support to help you get the most from the platform.
Family & household members
Yes.
Famli is designed to help people coordinate the things they share responsibility for.
Depending on your subscription and the features available, you can invite appropriate household members and share relevant calendars, reminders, tasks and information. A family includes up to 10 people, and the Owner can add more seats if needed.
You remain responsible for deciding who you invite and what information you make available to them.
Yes.
Famli is designed for the whole family, including children. When someone is invited, the Owner chooses whether they join as an Adult or a Child, and can change this later.
Children can see everyday areas such as the family calendar and tasks, and can add and edit their own events and tasks. They can’t change or delete events and tasks added by someone else. Children can’t see Personal Documents, Finance, Insurance or Vehicles. Adults can see everything.
Where features specifically involve children or minors, additional terms or restrictions may apply. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy for further information.
Yes, to a point.
You decide who you invite into your household or group, and whether each person joins as an Adult or a Child. Adults can see everything in your family. Children can’t see Personal Documents, Finance, Insurance or Vehicles. There are no settings to hide individual items from particular Adults, so only make someone an Adult if you’re happy for them to see everything.
Only the Owner can invite or remove members, and only the Owner can change someone between Adult and Child.
For people outside your family, you can create a share link for an individual item. Share links expire (after 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days) and you can cancel them at any time.
You should only provide access to people you trust.
Once information has been deliberately shared with another authorised person, Famli cannot control what that person subsequently does with the information, including copying, downloading or sharing it themselves.
Privacy, security & your data
No.
Famli does not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not intend to use your personal or household information as an advertising or data-resale product.
Famli does, however, need to process certain information in order to provide the service you have requested — for example, account information, household information, calendar entries, reminders and other content you choose to place into the platform.
Some information may also be processed by carefully selected third-party technology providers that help us operate Famli.
Our Privacy Policy explains in more detail what information we process, why we process it and the circumstances in which information may be disclosed.
Famli is not built around targeted advertising.
We do not intend to use your private household information to build advertising profiles or sell information about your family to marketers.
Some basic technical information, cookies or similar technologies may be necessary to operate, secure and improve the website or platform. Details are explained in our Privacy Policy.
You retain your rights in the information and content you provide to Famli.
Famli does not claim ownership of your personal information, household information, documents, calendars, reminders or other content simply because you use the platform.
You do, however, give Famli the permissions necessary to store, process and display your information so that we can provide the service to you.
You are also responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate authority to provide information about other people in your household.
Some Famli functions may require independent technology providers to process information in order for us to provide the service.
These may include providers supporting cloud hosting, storage, payment processing, voice functionality, AI-enabled features, communications, security and other platform functions.
Where a third-party processes information on our behalf, its role is governed by the applicable contractual arrangements and laws relevant to that service.
Independent providers are also responsible for the systems and services they operate and for the privacy and security obligations applicable to them.
For example, Stripe processes payments through its own payment infrastructure. Famli does not store your complete payment-card details.
Our Privacy Policy provides further information about how third-party services are used.
We take security seriously and use commercially reasonable and appropriate safeguards to help protect information held within the Famli environment.
Depending on the relevant part of the platform, these may include encryption, secure authentication, access controls, protected cloud infrastructure and other security measures.
However, no internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. Famli depends on internet infrastructure, cloud services, telecommunications, devices and other technology, some of which are operated by independent third parties.
Our Terms & Conditions therefore explain the respective responsibilities of Famli, our customers and third-party service providers.
Through membership subscriptions (including optional extras such as gifts and additional member seats).
Our business model is straightforward: customers pay for access to the Famli service.
We do not rely on selling personal information, targeted advertising or commercialising your household information as a source of revenue.
Our success depends on providing a service that people find genuinely useful and want to continue using.
Your data is not our product. Famli is.
About my subscription
The Owner can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage in Famli, or by emailing info@famli.global.
Your subscription won’t renew, and you keep full access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
Our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy explain what happens to your access and your information after you cancel. We recommend keeping your own copies of any important documents you may need.
Cancelling stops future payments, but it doesn’t refund the current period, except where the law requires it.
We’ll try the payment again and may let you know. If it still can’t be processed after a reasonable period, your access may be paused or ended. You can update your card from Settings → Manage.
No. Your subscription carries on, and you’ll still get important account and payment emails.
Yes. Contact info@famli.global and we’ll help you rejoin on the pricing that applies then.
For full details, see section 21 of our Terms & Conditions.
Help & feedback
We’re here to help.
You will find guides and other support resources through the Famli website.
If you still need assistance, contact us at info@famli.global.
Please do!
Famli is being built with its community, not simply for it.
We genuinely welcome suggestions, ideas and feedback from our members. Your experience may highlight something we have not considered or help us decide which improvements will make the greatest difference.
We cannot promise that every suggestion will be implemented, but we will listen and consider feedback as part of our ongoing development.
You are part of the Famli journey.
Famli will continue to evolve.
We expect to introduce improvements, refinements and new features as we learn from our customers and as technology develops.
Some changes will be driven by customer feedback, while others will be necessary to improve security, reliability, performance or compatibility.
We will always aim to make Famli more useful without making it unnecessarily complicated.
