Famli How-To Guide
Add an event by talking to Famli.
Adding something to the family calendar can be as simple as asking Famli to do it.
You don’t need to open the calendar and enter everything yourself. Just tell Famli what you want to add, and Famli will organise it for you.
Open Famli and tap the Famli assistant to start a conversation.
You can simply say something like:
“Famli, add Emma’s school concert to the calendar.”
Famli will ask for anything it needs, such as the day and the start time. Provide the requested details, for example:
“It’s on Saturday at 6:30 pm at the school hall.”
You can answer naturally, just as you would with someone helping you organise your day. You don’t need a special format or to give everything in one sentence. If you don’t give an end time, Famli will assume an hour and tell you so.
Before adding anything, Famli reads the event back to you:
- The name
- The day and date
- The start and end time
- The location
If something isn’t right, just tell Famli. For example:
“Actually, it’s 7 pm, not 6:30.”
Once the details are right, tell Famli to go ahead. For example:
“Yes, add it.”
The event is added to your family’s shared calendar in Famli.
Plans change. That’s family life.
If the time, date or location changes, just tell Famli. For example:
“Famli, move Emma’s school concert to Sunday at 2 pm.”
Famli finds the event and updates it, so you don’t have to start again. You can also ask Famli to delete an event; it will always check with you first.
Ask What’s Coming Up.
You can also ask Famli what’s on. For example:
“What’s on tomorrow?”
“What’s happening this weekend?”
Famli reads back your events, any bills or renewals that are due, and your tasks.
You Don’t Have to Remember the Right Words.
Talk to Famli naturally. You might say:
“Can you put dinner with Mum on the calendar for Friday at 7?”
“Remind me to book the dentist on Tuesday.” Famli will add this to your to-do list.
Good to Know.
- Events added this way are one-off. If something happens every week, Famli will offer to add the next one.
- Events from a linked Google or Outlook calendar can be read but not changed by Famli. Change those in Google or Outlook.
- Children can add their own events, but only an adult or the person who added an event can change or delete it.
In Short.
Just tell Famli what you need.
No forms to fill in. No hunting through menus.
Just talk to Famli and let it help keep your family’s life organised.
